Over the past 30 years, Mr. Peterman has planned, designed, and managed institutional, commercial, and residential projects of all types and sizes, including both new construction and complex renovations. Tom is a registered architect in 7 states and is NCARB certified. As an architect, Tom’s strength is his vision and creativity. He has the unique ability to develop simple and comprehensive solutions to complex and multifaceted problems. His experience includes a variety of large and small healthcare, corporate, religious, and extensive master planning and educational projects.
Tom has been the recipient of many awards and honors, including the national Soling Design Competition. His work has been published in Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture, Boston Magazine, and Interior Design. Exhibits of his work have been held in New York, Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. He taught architecture at the Harvard University GSD, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the Boston Architectural Center. In addition, Tom’s ongoing work with the Acton Historic District Commission and Acton Design Review Board reflects his interest in a contextual architecture that complements local architectural traditions, precedents and styles.
